We recommend hanging your swing no more than 1 ft away from a feeder or nectar rich flowering plant, eye level with the food source and away from trees or other competing perching spots
You can use the included screw hook to hang your swing or hang from any s type hook to hang from a garden pole
There are no harmful dyes in our nectar. Our formula is clear with no dyes or preservatives. It is a myth that you need to add red dyes to your feeders to attract hummingbirds. The feeder alone will attract your inquisitive hummingbirds and additives such as dyes can be harmful to their diets.
Our Nectarade shelf life is 2 years when unopened. After opening, if stored in a cool dark area in its original packaging the nectar will stay fresh for weeks (or months when refrigerated). Nectar in a feeder may only stay fresh for a few days depending on how hot it is in your climate.
Try adding a variety of feeders and swings placed far away enough that they are of sight from one another. This is the best way to encourage territorial hummers to get along.
In especially hot climates you may need to change feeders every 1-2 days. As a best practice, try filling feeders half way full so you can clean and provide fresh nectar more often.
Brightly-colored flowers that are tubular hold the most nectar, and are particularly attractive to hummingbirds. These include perennials such as bee balms, columbines, daylilies, and lupines; biennials such as foxgloves and hollyhocks; and many annuals, including cleomes, impatiens, and petunias.at are some good nectar rich flowering plants to attract hummingbirds?
